This journey to San Bartolomè and Santa Lucia de Tirajana is one of the most various and amazing trips in our Mimasbike’s Tours.

Reaching our first climb to Degollada de Las Yeguas, you get an amazing panoramic view of the area, where you can find the different faces of Gran Canaria: to the front of you is Maspalomas and the ocean, to the rear of us Pico de Las Nieves and the Canarian mountains.

Before we reach San Bartolonè, we will travel downhill and climb up again a few times before getting to Santa Lucia.

At the end, on the way back we are going to enjoy some surprising landscapes and views of the ocean all around us.

The ocean will be with us for 15 kms and it gives us a different view of the island.

Barren landscapes with the mountains at the left side, hidden beaches to the first detour: El Doctoral.

Now we begin slowly to climb passing through the town to reach Era del Cardòn. Here is the second detour to Aguimes.

The road is in a new barren landscape but our ride is satisfying and full of amazing panoramas.

We go from the sea to the centre of the island riding into the nature towards Mogan, a real Canarian village.

And now a spectacular climb is waiting for us.

A winding road climbing in a valley full of vegetation and immersed in  the wild nature of the island.

At the detour we go down to Soria and to the ocean.

Our ride will start along the coast and brings us towards the Soria climb where, at Barranquillo Andreas we detour climbing again for 3,5 kms. Here we find an amazing panorama of Gran Canaria.

After a short stop we first go up and then down to Ayacata seeing a different island with its lakes created from the dams.

After Ayacata we go down to San Bartolomè de Tirajana passing through Fataga and reaching again the ocean.

A challenging ride for duration and climbing.

It is a complete and satisfying ride for the unforgettable panoramas and landscapes we find along the route.

We go to Fataga reaching Mirador de las Yeguas with a 360° vision of the island, the ocean and the mountains waiting for us.

After Fataga we go up and down to the town of San Bartolomè de Tirajana.

This is about the halfway mark to the Pico and we leave Ayacata for the last 12 kms with Roque Nublo on our left side.

Just one last effort and Pico is here.

From the mirador Gran Canaria is ours. The island with its mountains, the ocean and, with a little bit of luck even a view of the mount Teide and Tenerife.

The first one is completely along the ocean until the small village of El Pajar.

Now we go in the valley for 14 kms gradually approaching the climb.

We reach the second part after Las Filipinas where the altitude increases to bring us, after 6 kms, to the end of the climb.

The landscape will change when we go into the valley giving spectacular panoramas while the road engages us to reach Barranquillo Andres.

After 2 kms we arrive to an area overlooking the valley.

The ocean will be with us to the Las Filipinas detour, where the landscape will completely change. We will go in a deep narrow valley along 14 kms.

While the road goes into the valley the landscape changes for colours and vegetation. We will see many country houses, Canarian farms, with their plantations.

After 14 kms we return to the ocean.

The road bike Tour to Taurito is one of the old favourites in Gran Canaria along the GC500.

A ride totally along the coast that shows all the beauty of the island.

The ride is a continuous rolling terrain. We pass through the principal beaches and tourist attractions, not forgetting the wild volcanic beaches with a marked contrast between the amber colour of the rocks and the blue of the ocean.
